Code, State Government § 9–910","heading":"","body":"(a) The Department shall:\n(1) maintain and supervise generally the home in accordance with this subtitle; and\n(2) adopt any regulation that is needed for management of the home, including regulations for admission, maintenance, and discharge of its residents.\n(b) (1) The Department may appoint a Director for the home and employ any other staff that is needed to manage the home properly.\n(2) In appointing or employing staff, the Department shall give preference to a veteran who has an honorable discharge from the uniformed services.\n(3) The Director shall:\n(i) serve at the pleasure of the Secretary; and\n(ii) perform any duty that the Department requires.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-910","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"d4f4051fd3beffa787d0c917b21f96199f73118766cc321b8bd7b267fba0b382","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-909","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-911"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
