Code, State Government § 9–951","heading":"","body":"(a) The Commission consists of the following members:\n(1) the designee of the Secretary;\n(2) the Chancellor of the University System of Maryland, or the Chancellor’s designee;\n(3) the President of the Maryland Independent College and University Association, or the President’s designee;\n(4) the Executive Director of the Maryland Association of Community Colleges, or the Executive Director’s designee; and\n(5) one representative of any institution of higher education in the State that elects to participate, appointed by the President of the institution.\n(b) (1) The term of a member is 2 years.\n(2) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.","path":["Article - State Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsg\u0026section=9-951","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:00:58Z","sha256":"cc37e7f3deea24e4d27a5f64bc458b1868a9be57eb30f34c77c7a7314ae0e89c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-950","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-government-9-952"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
