Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 23–215.2","heading":"","body":"If an individual was a member of any one of the several systems on June 30, 2011, and without incurring a break in employment of more than 30 days, becomes a member of the Employees’ Pension System or the Teachers’ Pension System on or after July 1, 2011, the individual:\n(1) shall be considered to be a new member of the Employees’ Pension System or the Teachers’ Pension System as of the date the individual joins the system; and\n(2) is subject to the same requirements to which an individual who was a member of the Employees’ Pension System or the Teachers’ Pension System on June 30, 2011, and remains a member on July 1, 2011, is subject.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=23-215.2","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"fd98a3412e83e942aa2b594840a35c9bed142aad69cede6497a88342c89a1845","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-23-215.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-23-217"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
