{"data":{"id":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-25-205.1","jurisdiction":"us-md","citation":"Md. Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 25–205.1","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to an individual who:\n(1) on or before June 30, 2011, was a member of the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System;\n(2) (i) is separated from employment for 4 years or less;\n(ii) 1. is separated from employment for military service that meets the requirements of the federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act; and\n2. resumes employment within 1 year of leaving military service in a position that is included in the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System; or\n(iii) is separated from employment with the minimum eligibility service needed to be eligible for a vested allowance under Title 29, Subtitle 3 of this article;\n(3) does not withdraw the member’s accumulated contributions; and\n(4) does not become a retiree.\n(b) An individual described in subsection (a) of this section who resumes employment in a position that is included in the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System is subject to the same requirements to which an individual who was a member of the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System on June 30, 2011, and remains a member on July 1, 2011, is subject.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=25-205.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"807967b6c223c69399c5cf22a13ddf524ff16c34d30bfa3b18ee364bd37f50d8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-25-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-25-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
