Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 26–207","heading":"","body":"If an individual was a member of any one of the several systems on June 30, 2011, and without incurring a break in employment of more than 30 days, becomes a member of the Law Enforcement Officers’ Pension System on or after July 1, 2011, the individual:\n(1) shall be considered to be a new member of the Law Enforcement Officers’ Pension System as of the date the individual joins the system; and\n(2) is subject to the same requirements to which an individual who was a member of the Law Enforcement Officers’ Pension System on June 30, 2011, and remains a member on July 1, 2011, is subject.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=26-207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"13c353ff3f2c59d9a312102543a6270efc3bf7b9db5540e0403f0e93eec346b1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-26-206.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-26-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
