Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 26–303","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to a member of the Law Enforcement Officers’ Pension System who is subject to the Law Enforcement Officers’ Modified Pension Benefit under Subtitle 2, Part II of this title.\n(b) A member is entitled to the eligibility service to which the member was entitled before the separation from employment if the member:\n(1) was entitled to a vested allowance from the Law Enforcement Officers’ Pension System at the time of the separation from employment; and\n(2) has completed 1 year of employment as a member of the Law Enforcement Officers’ Pension System who is subject to the Law Enforcement Officers’ Modified Pension Benefit under Subtitle 2, Part II of this title.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=26-303","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"19a10c1900776c6c0fa928048283b4cb177cc62a81fb4960bfcc2f8171c80894","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-26-302","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-26-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
