Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 31–115","heading":"","body":"(a) A participating governmental unit may establish, by law, a separate additional program of interim or supplemental allowances for a class of employees.\n(b) A participating governmental unit shall fund any additional program of allowances separately from the funding for benefits provided under this Division II.\n(c) (1) On the written request of a participating governmental unit that desires to establish an additional program authorized under this section, the State Retirement Agency may provide benefit-determination data or other technical assistance.\n(2) The State Retirement Agency shall charge the participating governmental unit for the expenses of preparing the data or providing the technical assistance.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=31-115","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"1958593342b0f064a842649974597d5219d9446271fba9ba9c519b5308da6d3b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-31-114","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-31-116"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
