Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 9–101","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to all employees in the State Personnel Management System.\n(b) Subject to the requirements of this title, the Secretary shall adopt regulations, policies, and guidelines that:\n(1) govern all aspects of leave and the keeping of time records for all employees subject to this section;\n(2) require each unit subject to the regulations to submit to the Secretary an annual report that includes:\n(i) the total number of employees in the unit; and\n(ii) the aggregate amounts of annual, personal, and sick leave taken by the employees in the unit;\n(3) provide for computations in a pay period of:\n(i) accruals of annual and sick leave; and\n(ii) deductions for unpaid leave used; and\n(4) provide for conversions of leave time and holiday time for employees who do not have an 8-hour daily work schedule.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=9-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"a2cec07a8033f07643ebcef02764eed1eb9ac440ec3d2074bc7adb2cd4ce87a2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-8-402","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-9-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
