Code, State Personnel and Pensions § 9–1202","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a Sick Leave Incentive Program for State employees that allows for the payment for unused sick leave.\n(b) The Secretary shall adopt regulations to administer the Program.\n(c) A unit that participates in this Program shall submit to the Secretary at the end of each calendar year a report that includes:\n(1) the number of employees receiving payment for unused sick leave;\n(2) the total payment received by employees;\n(3) the number of unused sick leave hours exchanged for payment;\n(4) the total sick leave hours used during the calendar year; and\n(5) any estimated overtime savings as a result of this Program.","path":["Article - State Personnel and Pensions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gsp\u0026section=9-1202","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:07Z","sha256":"54fc0c305c94e19e654a4eac28bb3ff333108dba6bac3206861c8b8c5379f1b9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-9-1201","next":"us-md/md.-code-state-personnel-and-pensions-9-1203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
