Code, Transportation § 12–107","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “lease” means the rental or leasing of a vehicle for a period exceeding 180 days.\n(b) The Administration may conduct investigations and inquiries and require additional information concerning:\n(1) Any application made to it under the Maryland Vehicle Law; or\n(2) Any other matter subject to the jurisdiction of the Administration.\n(c) Each person who leases a motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer to another person shall keep a record of:\n(1) The registration number of the leased vehicle; and\n(2) The name and address of the lessee.\n(d) Any police officer or authorized representative of the Administration may inspect the records kept under subsection (c) of this section.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=12-107","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"4d1415f93aef57382cc79694bc0c102c2d4d4156193e1edf40bfb056e6e9090d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-12-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-12-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
