Code, Transportation § 12–208","heading":"","body":"(a) After a hearing, the Administration may:\n(1) Refuse, suspend, or revoke the license or privilege of an applicant or licensee;\n(2) Rescind, continue, or modify any prior action; or\n(3) Take any other action permitted by the Maryland Vehicle Law.\n(b) If a decision or order of the Administration is adverse to any party to the hearing, the decision or order:\n(1) Shall be made in accordance with § 10-221 of the State Government Article; and\n(2) Unless service is waived by the party, shall be served on the party or the party’s attorney.\n(c) Subject to § 10-209(b) and (c) of the State Government Article, and except as otherwise provided in this article, if a party fails to appear for a hearing scheduled under the Maryland Vehicle Law, the Administration may:\n(1) For a hearing scheduled under § 12-203 of this subtitle, impose the sanction proposed in the notice; or\n(2) For a hearing scheduled under § 12-202 of this subtitle, order:\n(i) A suspension of the party’s license or privilege until the party appears for a hearing; or\n(ii) The imposition of any sanction proposed in the notice.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=12-208","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"1173be0c826f50cb97d007cacb3cf116682e6191e2b42a348f1da8e943d3b83b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-12-207","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-12-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
