Code, Transportation § 13–110","heading":"","body":"The Administration shall refuse to issue a certificate of title of a vehicle if:\n(1) The application contains any false or fraudulent statement;\n(2) The applicant has failed to furnish information or documents required by statute or regulations adopted by the Administration;\n(3) Any required fee has not been paid;\n(4) The applicant is not entitled to a certificate of title under the Maryland Vehicle Law; or\n(5) The Administration has reasonable grounds to believe:\n(i) That the applicant is not the owner of the vehicle;\n(ii) That the issuance of a certificate of title to the applicant would be a fraud against another person; or\n(iii) That the vehicle does not comply with Title 2, Subtitle 11 of the Environment Article or any regulation adopted under that subtitle.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=13-110","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"413d84d6f1082737d68d2e8fb87f218eb61653961007128687d14624a9d35a55","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-109","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
