Code, Transportation § 13–605","heading":"","body":"(a) The temporary registration of a vehicle under this part expires on the first to occur of:\n(1) Receipt of annual registration plates for the vehicle;\n(2) Rescission of the contract to buy the vehicle; or\n(3) Expiration of 60 days from the date the temporary plate was issued.\n(b) The Administration may extend the temporary registration for a vehicle under this part for a period not to exceed 30 days if the Administration is satisfied that reasonable conditions exist to justify the granting of this extension.\n(c) The person to whom a temporary registration plate has been issued for a vehicle shall destroy the temporary registration plate as soon as the temporary registration expires.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=13-605","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"86e04ea7e0da1d0376ed08befd40b610c8f47ad326d104d0e55cad4c76819b6b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-604","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-606"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
