Code, Transportation § 13–913","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) When registered with the Administration, every passenger motor vehicle operated for the transportation of persons for hire, except a vehicle described in paragraph (2) of this subsection, is a Class B (for hire) vehicle.\n(2) The following vehicles are not subject to the classification specified in this section:\n(i) Any vehicle operated on a regular schedule and between fixed termini; and\n(ii) Any vehicle for which a different classification is specified in this part.\n(b) For each Class B (for hire) vehicle, the annual registration fee is:\n(1) On or after July 1, 2024, but before July 1, 2025, $170.00; and\n(2) On or after July 1, 2025, $180.00.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=13-913","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"32e9a8fbfeb09bdf57c8d39448d23cda641f3132103bad9142e5419fc98d7da6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-912","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-914"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
