Code, Transportation § 13–923","heading":"","body":"(a) When registered with the Administration, every truck tractor or similar motor vehicle used for propelling, supporting, or drawing a trailer or semitrailer is a Class F (tractor) vehicle.\n(b) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, for each Class F (tractor) vehicle, the annual registration fee is based on the maximum gross weight of the vehicle in combination with a trailer or semitrailer, as follows:\nMaximum Gross Weight Fee (per 1,000 Pounds\nLimit (in Pounds) or Fraction Thereof)\n40,000 (minimum) – 60,000 $21.00\n60,001 – 80,000 or more $22.50\n(2) (i) On or after July 1, 2024, but before July 1, 2025, the annual registration fee under paragraph (1) of this subsection is increased by an additional $20.00.\n(ii) On or after July 1, 2025, the annual registration fee under paragraph (1) of this subsection is increased by an additional $30.00.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=13-923","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"93634ae1cdd43dd7b4e4c7e9e94af2051b31f388180c5a1b7a4c2872f7bef682","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-921","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-924"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
