Code, Transportation § 13–924","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “farm truck tractor” means a farm vehicle that is a Class F (tractor) vehicle.\n(b) On application, the Administration shall issue a Class F “farm truck tractor” registration to any applicant who certifies:\n(1) That the applicant is a farmer; and\n(2) That the vehicle for which the application is made is a farm truck tractor, specifying its proposed use.\n(c) For each farm truck tractor the annual registration fee is based on the maximum gross weight of the vehicle in combination with a trailer or semitrailer, as follows:\nMaximum Gross Weight Fee (per 1,000 Pounds\nLimit (in Pounds) or Fraction Thereof)\n40,000 (minimum)\n80,000 (maximum) $5.25\n(d) A vehicle registered under this section may not be used for hire except to haul farm products for another farmer.\n(e) A vehicle registered under this section may not be used in any manner other than as a farm truck tractor.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=13-924","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"baa30f52a25a1c7eefabbfff4ecd8fae4b9967b2bba50a54dcb79d7b749d44c2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-923","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-927"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
