Code, Transportation § 13–937","heading":"","body":"(a) When registered with the Administration, every multipurpose passenger vehicle is a Class M (multipurpose) vehicle.\n(b) For each Class M (multipurpose) vehicle, the annual registration fee is:\n(1) For a vehicle with a manufacturer’s shipping weight of 3,500 pounds or less:\n(i) On or after July 1, 2024, but before July 1, 2025, $70.50; and\n(ii) On or after July 1, 2025, $80.50;\n(2) For a vehicle with a manufacturer’s shipping weight of more than 3,500 pounds but not more than 3,700 pounds:\n(i) On or after July 1, 2024, but before July 1, 2025, $80.50; and\n(ii) On or after July 1, 2025, $85.50; and\n(3) For a vehicle with a manufacturer’s shipping weight of more than 3,700 pounds:\n(i) On or after July 1, 2024, but before July 1, 2025, $121.50; and\n(ii) On or after July 1, 2025, $151.50.\n(c) The Administration may by rule and regulation provide for the registration under this section of all multipurpose passenger vehicles registered under another classification.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=13-937","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"61c0accfc268f9d053edfd05c514d2589545f14abafd8de657861a721108ee2c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-936.2","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-13-937.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
