Code, Transportation § 21–1401","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Approach” means any roadway, overhead structure, ramp, bridge, causeway, entrance, and exit provided as a means of access to or departure from an Authority highway.\n(c) “Authority highway” means:\n(1) Each highway, tunnel, and bridge within the jurisdiction of the Maryland Transportation Authority; and\n(2) Each approach to these highways, tunnels, and bridges.\n(d) “Bridge” means any bridge within the jurisdiction of the Maryland Transportation Authority.\n(e) “Tunnel” means:\n(1) The Baltimore Harbor Tunnel; and\n(2) Any other tunnel within the jurisdiction of the Maryland Transportation Authority.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=21-1401","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"cf1cdc73e52d96868c05217b65c39081615d7372667c5220322d0916ed8aa666","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-21-1306.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-21-1402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
