Code, Transportation § 21–406","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not commit a violation of this subtitle that contributes to an accident that results in the death or, as defined in § 20–102(c) of this article, serious bodily injury of another person.\n(b) (1) A person convicted of a violation of this section is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000.\n(2) (i) The Administration may suspend the license of a person convicted of a violation of this section for a period not exceeding 180 days.\n(ii) In accordance with Title 12, Subtitle 2 of this article, a licensee may request a hearing on a license suspension imposed under this paragraph.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=21-406","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"65bda08b81bcbaa448e3fd1fbbf8ed9f8598d2cbd8fc5ffdd1ebe5716025ac1f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-21-405","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-21-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
