Code, Transportation § 23–206.4","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “zero–emission vehicle” means any vehicle that:\n(1) Is determined by the Secretary to be of a type that does not produce any tailpipe or evaporative emissions; and\n(2) Has not been altered from the manufacturer’s original specifications.\n(b) A zero–emission vehicle is exempt from the mandatory tests and inspections required by this subtitle.\n(c) The Administration and the Secretary shall adopt regulations necessary to:\n(1) Provide for the determination of which vehicles are zero–emission vehicles; and\n(2) Implement the provisions of this section.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=23-206.4","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"22b1b778fdefd132ee5a74bb89aa2a01e2455979101151a5d367605cecd91070","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-23-206.2","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-23-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
