Code, Transportation § 5–416","heading":"","body":"(a) As provided in this section, a political subdivision of this State, whether acting alone or jointly with another political subdivision, may:\n(1) Establish or operate any airport, airport facility, or air navigation facility; and\n(2) For this purpose, use any suitable property owned or controlled by the political subdivision.\n(b) An airport or facility may be established under this section:\n(1) By a county, only within its boundaries or the boundaries of any other county with which it is acting jointly; and\n(2) By Baltimore City or a municipal corporation, either within or without its boundaries.","path":["Article - Transportation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gtr\u0026section=5-416","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T20:01:38Z","sha256":"1f2df4d6a8d9fa89883406eefa387989d70af478fb47522d8dbfe67cff9aadb3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-5-415","next":"us-md/md.-code-transportation-5-417"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
