{"data":{"id":"us-me/1-m.r.s.-201","jurisdiction":"us-me","citation":"1 M.R.S. §201","heading":"State seal","body":"The seal of the State is a shield, argent, charged with a pine tree (Pinus strobus) with a moose deer (Alces alces), at the foot of it, recumbent; supporters: on dexter side, a  farmer, resting on a scythe; on sinister side, a sailor, resting on an anchor.\nIn the foreground, representing sea and land, and under the shield, is the name of the State in large Roman capitals, to wit:\nMAINE.\nThe whole is surrounded by a crest, the North Star.
