{"data":{"id":"us-me/15-m.r.s.-3303","jurisdiction":"us-me","citation":"15 M.R.S. §3303","heading":"Dismissal of petition with prejudice","body":"On motion made by or on behalf of a juvenile, or by the court itself, a petition must be dismissed with prejudice if it was not filed within 9 months from the date the juvenile was referred to the juvenile community corrections officer for an intake assessment, unless the prosecuting attorney either before or after the expiration of the 9-month period files a motion for an extension of time for the filing of a petition, accompanied by the reasons for this extension.
