{"data":{"id":"us-me/19-a-m.r.s.-3254","jurisdiction":"us-me","citation":"19-A M.R.S. §3254","heading":"Recognition of order modified in another state","body":"If a child support order issued by a tribunal of this State is modified by a tribunal of another state that assumed jurisdiction pursuant to the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, a tribunal of this State:\n1.  Enforce amounts accruing before modification.  May enforce the order that was modified only as to arrears and interest accruing before the modification;\n2.  Enforce nonmodifiable aspects.\n3.  Relief for violations before modification.  May provide appropriate relief for violations of its order that occurred before the effective date of the modification; and\n4.  Recognize modifying order.
