Boilers that are under federal control;\nB.  Boilers used solely for propelling motor road vehicles;\nC.  Boilers of steam fire engines brought into the State for temporary use in times of emergency to check conflagrations;\nD.  Boilers used for agricultural purposes only;\nE.  Steam heating boilers, hot water heating boilers and hot water supply boilers , with the exception of boilers located in schoolhouses; or\nF.  Miniature boilers exempt pursuant to section 15103‑A.\n2.  Pressure vessels.  This chapter does not apply to:\nA.  Pressure vessels that are under federal control;\nB.  Pressure vessels used for the transportation and storage of compressed or liquefied gases constructed in compliance with specifications of the United States Department of Transportation;\nC.  Pressure vessels located on vehicles operating under the rules of other state authorities and used for carrying passengers or freight;\nD.  Pressure vessels installed on the right-of-way of railroads and used directly in the operation of trains;\nE.  Pressure vessels used solely for agricultural purposes on farms;\nF.  Pressure vessels located in private residences and apartment houses with fewer than 6 apartments;\nG.  Pressure vessels having an internal or external operating pressure not exceeding 15 pounds per square inch;\nH.  Vessels for containing water under pressure, including those containing air, the compression of which serves only as a cushion, when neither of the following limitations is exceeded:\n(1)  A design pressure of 300 pressure pounds per square inch; or\n(2)  A design temperature of 210 degrees Fahrenheit;\nI.  Pressure vessels containing water heated by steam or any other direct or indirect means when none of the following limitations are exceeded:\n(1)  A heat input of 200,000 British thermal units per hour;\n(2)  A water temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit; or\n(3)  A normal water-containing capacity of 120 gallons;\nJ.  Pressure vessels that do not exceed:\n(1)  Five cubic feet in volume and 250 pounds per square inch gauge pressure;\n(2)  One and 1/2 cubic feet in volume and 600 pounds per square inch gauge pressure; or\n(3)  An inside diameter of 6 inches with no limitation on pressure; or\nK.
