The committee shall consist of the director of commerce, the director of the department of agriculture, the chairperson of the Michigan public service commission, the director of public health, the director of transportation, and the director of the department of state police. The governor shall designate 1 of the 6 members of the energy advisory committee as chairperson of the committee.\n\nThe energy advisory committee shall notify the governor of an impending energy emergency.
