Laws § 117.3b","heading":"Terms of office; staggered terms; resolution; initial terms; applicability of subsection (1).","body":"Sec. 3b.\n\n(1) Notwithstanding any charter provision, the city may provide by resolution for the terms of office of its elected officials and for staggered terms.\n\n(2) The initial terms established under subsection (1) may be longer than allowed under the charter in order to facilitate the staggering of terms.
