Laws § 125.1951","heading":"Legislative finding and declaration.","body":"Sec. 1.\n\nThe legislature hereby finds and declares:\n\nThat there is a statewide pressing need for programs to alleviate and prevent conditions of unemployment; to preserve existing jobs and create new jobs to meet the employment demands of population growth; to promote the development of business enterprises and to meet the growing competition for business enterprises; to revitalize and diversify the Michigan economy in general and achieve the goals of economic growth and full employment; and to encourage and develop close relationships between the research and development resources of Michigan colleges and universities and the business enterprises in Michigan.\n\nThat, for the preservation and betterment of the health, safety, and general welfare of the people of Michigan, it is necessary to promote and develop new and diversified technology based industries.\n\nThat the goals of full employment and maximum economic growth can best be provided by the stimulation of innovative research.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 125","Act Act-175-of-1982"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-125-1951","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"2ef7be28f83a9d637b405cc986b6aef2f22081f649f308d76fc5057ee724097e","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-125.2488","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-125.1952"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
