Laws § 125.694b","heading":"Municipal housing commission; rules; adoption; promulgation; publication.","body":"Sec. 44b.\n\nTo the extent not inconsistent with federal law or regulation, state law, or local ordinance, the housing commission shall adopt and promulgate reasonable rules that establish the following:\n\nEligibility requirements for admission to housing.\n\nObligations of tenants, including regulations for the use and occupation of housing units and common areas.\n\nJust cause for the termination of the right of use and occupation, so that a tenant may be clearly apprised of the precise reasons for a termination.\n\nConditions for continued occupancy, taking into account factors including, but not limited to, family size, fluctuations in income, availability of standard accommodations elsewhere, and other relevant matters.\n\nOperation of homesteading programs under all of the following:\n\nThe urban homesteading in single-family public housing act.\n\nThe urban homesteading in multifamily public housing act.\n\nThe commission may adopt other rules that are necessary for the just and effective administration of local housing projects constructed and operated as provided by this act.\n\nAll rules to be valid shall be published in a conspicuous place in each housing project operated by the commission.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 125","Act Act-18-of-1933-Ex-Sess-"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-125-694b","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"690c0f0155d7741b343ee31dff5ec96ed3b5975afc70dc28de4993132071ed73","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-125.694a","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-125.695"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
