Laws § 168.289","heading":"State board of education and boards of state universities; terms of office.","body":"Sec. 289.\n\nSubject to section 286a, the term of office of members of the state board of education, the board of regents of the University of Michigan, the board of trustees of Michigan State University, and the board of governors of Wayne State University shall be 8 years and shall begin at 12 noon on January 1 next following their election.
