Laws § 24.286","heading":"Official records of hearings.","body":"Sec. 86.\n\nAn agency shall prepare an official record of a hearing which shall include:\n\nNotices, pleadings, motions and intermediate rulings.\n\nQuestions and offers of proof, objections and rulings thereon.\n\nEvidence presented.\n\nMatters officially noticed, except matters so obvious that a statement of them would serve no useful purpose.\n\nProposed findings and exceptions.\n\nAny decision, opinion, order or report by the officer presiding at the hearing and by the agency.\n\nOral proceedings at which evidence is presented shall be recorded, but need not be transcribed unless requested by a party who shall pay for the transcription of the portion requested except as otherwise provided by law.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 24","Act Act-306-of-1969"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-24-286","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"d96cd92a6e2cf971ef52a5cc2916851cceaa823435a6c91a7eb2ea138e266444","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-24.285","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-24.287"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
