Laws § 247.659d","heading":"\"Port facility\" definition.","body":"Sec. 9d.\n\nAs used in this act, \"port facility\" means a commercial facility located alongside a navigable waterway used for commercial vessels and includes any of the following types of facilities:\n\n(a) A seawall jetty, pier, wharf, or dock.\n\n(b) A warehouse, storehouse, elevator, grain bin, cold storage plant, terminal icing plant, bunker, or oil tank.\n\n(c) A ferry, canal, lock, seaway, or conveyor.\n\n(d) A modern appliance for the economical handling, storage, or transportation of freight and handling of passenger traffic.\n\n(e) A transfer or terminal facility required for the efficient operation or development of a port or harbor.\n\n(f) Any other port or harbor improvement to assist with commercial operations.\n\n(g) An improvement, enlargement, remodeling, or extension of a facility described in this section.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 247","Act Act-51-of-1951"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-247-659d","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"eb82a8385f50493ee06f8bfe23b71f86887be09b87379678894c5c8c3cfaee32","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-247.659c","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-247.660"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
