Laws § 257.682c","heading":"Operation of commercial snow removal vehicle; yellow or amber light required; civil infraction and fine; definitions.","body":"Sec. 682c.\n\n(1) A person shall not operate a commercial snow removal vehicle to remove snow or ice on a public street or highway or in a parking lot accessible for use by the public unless the vehicle is operated with at least 1 flashing, rotating, or oscillating yellow or amber light that is clearly visible in a 360-degree arc from a distance of 500 feet when in use.\n\n(2) A person who owns or leases a commercial snow removal vehicle shall not knowingly allow a person to operate that vehicle in violation of subsection (1).\n\n(3) A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction and shall be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $100.00.\n\n(4) As used in this section:\n\n(a) \"Commercial snow removal vehicle\" means a vehicle equipped with a plow or other device that is used to remove snow or ice for payment or other remuneration.\n\n(b) \"Person\" means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, governmental entity, or other legal entity.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 257","Act Act-300-of-1949"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-257-682c","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"dd3ec5b1893d548d7b5e3aeaf6c4398efc4d3bb8ab2052f93a45459efad7c498","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-257.682b","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-257.683"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
