Laws § 257.811g","heading":"Collector plate; display; purchase; ceasing sale.","body":"Sec. 811g.\n\n(1) Except as otherwise provided in this act, the secretary of state may develop, market, promote, and sell a collector plate. However, the secretary of state shall only develop, market, and promote a collector plate with funds available from the collection of service fees under this chapter.\n\n(2) A collector plate shall not be attached to a motor vehicle in a manner prescribed in section 225. A collector plate may be used on a vehicle in any lawful manner, including, but not limited to, being displayed on the front bumper of a vehicle.\n\n(3) A person may purchase 1 or more collector plates by making payment to the secretary of state of the $10.00 service fee and a $25.00 fund-raising donation.\n\n(4) The secretary of state may, as determined necessary by the secretary of state, cease to sell a collector plate.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 257","Act Act-300-of-1949"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-257-811g","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"3457867e7fc411937ff4ff206c9870acd5850d9a9e2ca355d96ac1563aededf5","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-257.811ff","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-257.811h"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
