Laws § 259.788","heading":"Model rockets; activities prohibited.","body":"Sec. 8.\n\nThe following activities are prohibited:\n\nThe use of a model rocket engine for pyrotechnic purposes or for the primary purpose of producing a spectacular display of color, sound, light or any combination thereof, or in any way contrary to the provisions of this act.\n\nTampering with or using an engine in any manner or degree contrary to the purpose for which the engine is designed and intended to be used, or contrary to the provisions of this act.\n\nThe ignition of an engine with such instantaneous and violent expansion of gas or relinquishment of energy as to cause rupture of the casing.\n\nThe launching, operating, discharging, flying or otherwise activating of a model rocket without first having fully complied with the foregoing provisions of this act.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 259","Act Act-333-of-1965"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-259-788","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"5de06c437097d174cf29fd48db51a4078e8a610db686043cebd6f17cba8512c4","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-259.787","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-259.789"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
