Laws § 259.83b","heading":"Flight operations; prohibition; violation.","body":"Sec. 83b.\n\nA person shall not conduct flight operations requiring a federal aviation regulation air carrier or commercial operator's certification without first having been issued a valid federal aviation regulation air carrier or operating certificate or valid commercial operator's certificate.\n\nA person who violates subsection (1) is guilty of a crime as follows:\n\nFor a first violation, the person is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 4 years or a fine of not more than $5,000.00, or both.\n\nFor a second violation within 5 years after the first violation, the person is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than 1 year or more than 5 years or a fine of not less than $5,000.00 or more than $50,000.00, or both.\n\nFor a third or subsequent violation within 5 years after a conviction for a violation of this section, the person is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not less than 4 years or more than 10 years or a fine of not less than $10,000.00 or more than $100,000.00, or both.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 259","Act Act-327-of-1945"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-259-83b","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"bddb7ed486a2e1679b788160b2ca740d87b8aae6375fdd0142c03aa4b87cb549","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-259.83a","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-259.84a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
