Laws § 28.465","heading":"Storage of seized fireworks; disposal or destruction; storage and disposal costs; use for training purposes.","body":"Sec. 15.\n\n(1) Fireworks seized for an alleged violation of this act shall be stored in compliance with this act and the rules promulgated under this act.\n\n(2) Following a final disposition of an appeal of a conviction under this act that affirms the conviction, the department may dispose of or destroy any fireworks retained as evidence in that prosecution.\n\n(3) A person from whom fireworks are seized under this act shall pay the actual costs of storage and disposal of the seized fireworks if found guilty, responsible, or liable for a violation under this act.\n\n(4) The department may use fireworks described in subsection (2) for training purposes.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 28","Act Act-256-of-2011"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-28-465","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"63680f9a27548dde29a87e0e058dcaf9ba3a347d8a5cbf8aa025ef46145a4a12","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-28.464","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-28.466"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
