Laws § 28.468b","heading":"Issuance of certificate prohibited; revocation.","body":"Sec. 18b.\n\n(1) The department shall not issue, and an individual is ineligible to be issued, a consumer fireworks certificate if, as verified by the internet criminal history access tool (ICHAT) maintained by the department of state police, the individual was convicted of a felony involving theft, fraud, or arson.\n\n(2) If due to a criminal conviction an individual will be ineligible for a consumer fireworks certificate on April 30 of the year following the year for which the individual currently holds a consumer fireworks certificate, the department shall revoke the current consumer fireworks certificate for the balance of the current year.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 28","Act Act-256-of-2011"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-28-468b","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"f037015092f172c277f31d2e8f1c83bd620745026d59c732e44ee6b71ebf97e8","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-28.468a","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-28.468c"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
