Laws § 28.653","heading":"Duties of board.","body":"Sec. 3.\n\nThe board shall:\n\nSubmit rules for public hearing within 2 years after the effective date of section 7 which set forth a method of evaluating fire service delivery systems and establish a fire service classification scale. The fire service classification scale may include the following factors:\n\nAvailable water supply.\n\nFire prevention programs and activities.\n\nOrganized fire department administration.\n\nFire fighting equipment and apparatus.\n\nOrganized fire department training.\n\nFire losses.\n\nFire prevention code and fire prevention code enforcement.\n\nFire incident reporting and fire investigation.\n\nFire alarm systems.\n\nBuilding construction code and building construction code enforcement.\n\nCommunications.\n\nPersonnel.\n\nMutual aid.\n\nFire suppression systems.\n\nOther fire service delivery technology.\n\nReview any other fire service classification scale upon written request by a municipality.\n\nAt least annually, present to the legislature and the commissioner of insurance a report of the board's activities and recommendations under this act.\n\nDevelop a system within 5 years after the effective date of this amendatory act which will enable the board to evaluate the extent of compliance with Act No. 207 of the Public Acts of 1941, as amended, being sections 29.1 to 29.25 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, of each building inspected under Act No. 207 of the Public Acts of 1941, as amended.
