Laws § 28.822","heading":"Purchase and possession of auto-injectable epinephrine; eligible entities; distribution to law enforcement officers or firefighters; training required.","body":"Sec. 2.\n\n(1) An eligible entity may purchase and possess auto-injectable epinephrine for purposes of this act and distribute that auto-injectable epinephrine to law enforcement officers or firefighters in its employ who have been trained in the administration of that auto-injectable epinephrine as required under subsection (3).\n\n(2) If a law enforcement officer or firefighter has completed the training required under subsection (3), the law enforcement officer or firefighter may administer auto-injectable epinephrine prescribed to an eligible entity to an individual who the law enforcement officer or firefighter has reason to believe is experiencing anaphylaxis, regardless of whether the individual has a prescription for epinephrine or has been previously diagnosed with an allergy.\n\n(3) An individual shall complete training on the proper administration of auto-injectable epinephrine before administering auto-injectable epinephrine under this act.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 28","Act Act-312-of-2020"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-28-822","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"c1c08922b9f6198b4d17c79b219df036f8052dcfc0368f316537f12b300f3139","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-28.821","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-28.823"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
