Laws § 324.31110","heading":"River management board; duties.","body":"Sec. 31110.\n\nA river management board shall do all of the following:\n\nAdopt bylaws to govern its operations.\n\nPrepare an annual operating budget and levy an annual assessment of local unit of government members to cover costs of organizing, developing plans, and maintaining general overhead administration.\n\nAdopt and maintain a schedule of benefit assessments upon local units of government in the district levied to help defray the costs of capital improvements, which schedule constitutes a legal obligation upon those assessed.\n\nHold an annual meeting at which it shall report to its members and to the watershed council, elect officers, and adopt an annual budget.\n\nMaintain a public record of its transactions.\n\nDo all other things necessary for the operation of the district.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-31110","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"dd234fcb478dc22cfa5b635cf4587ebe4ece6c32b046ad199f08edb92cbb698f","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.31109","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.31111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
