Laws § 324.3112c","heading":"Discharges of untreated or partially treated sewage from sewer systems; list of occurrences; “partially treated sewage” and “sewer system” defined.","body":"Sec. 3112c.\n\nThe department shall compile and maintain a list of occurrences of discharges of untreated or partially treated sewage from sewer systems onto land or into the waters of the state that have been reported to the department or are otherwise known to the department. This list shall be made available on the department's website on an ongoing basis. In addition, the department shall annually publish this list and make it available to the general public. The list shall include all of the following:\n\nThe entity responsible for the discharge.\n\nThe waters or land area, or both, receiving the discharge.\n\nThe volume and quality of the discharge.\n\nThe time the discharge began and ended.\n\nA description of the actions the department has taken to address the discharge.\n\nWhether the entity responsible for the discharge is subject to a schedule of compliance approved by the department.\n\nAny other information that the department considers relevant.\n\nAs used in this section:\n\n\"Partially treated sewage\" means any sewage, sewage and storm water, or sewage and wastewater, from domestic or industrial sources that is not treated to national secondary treatment standards for wastewater or that is treated to a level less than that required by a national pollutant discharge elimination system permit.\n\n\"Sewer system\" means a sewer system designed and used to convey sanitary sewage or storm water, or both.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-3112c","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"42cb467eb5f8af094354f3635cb131118343b6bd0d80e1406d7d24705cebae0a","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.3112b","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.3112e"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
