Laws § 324.43506","heading":"Definitions; O to R.","body":"Sec. 43506.\n\n(1) \"Open season\" means the time during which game animals, game birds, fur-bearing animals, and aquatic species may be legally taken or killed. Open season includes both the first and last day of the season or period.\n\n(2) \"Reptile\" means a turtle, snake, lizard, or any other member of the class reptilia.\n\n(3) \"Resident\" means or refers to any of the following:\n\n(a) A person who resides in a settled or permanent home or domicile within the boundaries of this state with the intention of remaining in this state.\n\n(b) A student who is enrolled in a full-time course at a college or university within this state and who resides in the state during the school year.\n\n(c) A person regularly enlisted or commissioned as an officer in the armed forces of the United States and officially stationed in this state.\n\n(d) A person regularly enlisted or commissioned as an officer in the armed forces of the United States who, at the time of enlistment, was a resident of this state and has maintained his or her residence in this state for purposes of obtaining a driver license or voter registration, or both.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-43506","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"9f6a189cd50e7485ac977b875c0de8f22a92234b281e7104f378fbabcc1d79a5","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.43505","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.43507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
