Laws § 324.43554","heading":"Deer habitat; improvement; maintenance; management; use of license fee; limitation.","body":"Sec. 43554.\n\nOne dollar and fifty cents of the license fee for each firearm deer, bow and arrow deer, and resident sportsperson's license shall be used for improving and maintaining a habitat for deer and for the acquisition of lands for an effective program of deer habitat management. Beginning March 1, 2014, $1.50 of the license fee for each deer and resident sportsperson's license shall be used for improving and maintaining a habitat for deer and for the acquisition of lands for an effective program of deer habitat management. Except as otherwise provided in this section, not more than 0.25% of the money under this section shall be used to acquire lands. However, if all of the money appropriated from the natural resources trust fund for eco-region acquisition carried over from previous fiscal years is spent, then the 0.25% limitation under this section does not apply.
