Laws § 324.43905","heading":"Duties of department.","body":"Sec. 43905.\n\nThe department shall do all of the following:\n\nDevelop long-range nongame wildlife plans.\n\nProvide information to the public about the value of nongame fish and wildlife and their habitats.\n\nReview and develop proposals for projects to implement the long-range management plan.\n\nDetermine the interests and opinions of the public in managing nongame fish and wildlife.\n\nEncourage public involvement by offering projects and activities with which the public can become involved to increase their knowledge and understanding of nongame fish and wildlife resources in this state.\n\nIntegrate the nongame fish and wildlife program with other department programs that affect or benefit nongame fish and wildlife or their habitats.\n\nPurchase and develop critical nongame wildlife habitats in this state.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-43905","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"90114ffb9fc5e3706cee32eb1908cc3e3110ee1471bd67ac534407b9fc88be57","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.43904","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.43906"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
