Laws § 324.6513","heading":"Motor vehicles subject to part and rules; exceptions.","body":"Sec. 6513.\n\nThe motor vehicles subject to this part and the rules promulgated under this part include the following:\n\nEach registered motor vehicle for the model years 1975 and later that is owned by a person whose permanent place of residence is in a county subject to this part.\n\nAll motor vehicles for the model years 1975 and later that belong to a fleet and that are predominately garaged, operated, or maintained in a county subject to this part.\n\nA vehicle identified on a certificate of title issued by the department of state as an assembled vehicle is not subject to this part and the rules promulgated under this part.\n\nA motor vehicle is not subject to this part and the rules promulgated under this part if its application for registration renewal is accompanied by both a memorandum of federal clean air act exemption issued pursuant to federal regulation and a certification by the applicant identifying the vehicle, and if the application for registration is filed with the department.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-6513","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"16e52b7b5593e26315a45f08eea8bb568f72d0dd1dd69a670fbcbb1d02237fa9","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.6512","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.6514"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
