Laws § 324.6518","heading":"Testing station; change of ownership; notice.","body":"Sec. 6518.\n\nIf the ownership of a testing station changes, a new original license and payment of a new license fee is required, and the station shall not operate until its application is approved by the department. For the purposes of this section, \"change of ownership\" means a change in the ownership of a station which is either a sole proprietorship or a partnership; the replacement of a sole proprietorship with a partnership, a corporation, or another sole proprietorship; the replacement of a partnership with a sole proprietorship, a corporation, or another partnership; or the replacement of a corporation with a sole proprietorship, a partnership, or another corporation.\n\nA corporation shall notify the department within 30 days of a change in ownership that involves the accumulation of 25% or more of the ownership by a person who did not previously own 25% or more of the corporation.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-6518","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"b0903e48ecad45ce353a9ecb8f1c725e39876ef3f4d7e3d170ee44653d46e100","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.6517","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.6519"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
