Laws § 324.80302","heading":"Exceptions; appropriate forms.","body":"Sec. 80302.\n\nThis part does not apply to any of the following:\n\nA boat from a jurisdiction other than this state temporarily using the waters of this state.\n\nA boat whose owner is the United States, a state, or political subdivision thereof.\n\nA ship's lifeboat.\n\nWatercraft less than 20 feet in length that do not have permanently affixed engines unless the owner, lessee, or operator voluntarily wishes to become subject to this part.\n\nWatercraft documented by an agency of the United States government.\n\nThe various certificates, applications, and assignments necessary to provide certificates of title for watercraft shall be made upon appropriate forms approved by the secretary of state.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 324","Act Act-451-of-1994"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-324-80302","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"a999852de5831c4b52684bf978c824d9aa5d383e028abe33b0fb2a2b692382b7","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.80301","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-324.80303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
