Laws § 330.1302","heading":"Financial liability of county.","body":"Sec. 302.\n\nExcept as otherwise provided in this chapter and in subsection (2), a county is financially liable for 10% of the net cost of any service that is provided by the department, directly or by contract, to a resident of that county.\n\nThis section does not apply to the following:\n\nFamily support subsidies established under section 156.\n\nA service provided to any of the following:\n\n( i ) An individual under a criminal sentence to a state prison.\n\n( ii ) A criminal defendant determined incompetent to stand trial under section 1032.\n\n( iii ) An individual acquitted of a criminal charge by reason of insanity, during the initial 60-day period of evaluation provided for in section 1050.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 330","Act Act-258-of-1974"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-330-1302","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"cc57b6e6d8711a2928d191840006c727bb718d4f4009c064c0f08752fb4b567b","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-330.1287","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-330.1304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
