Laws § 333.10104","heading":"Anatomical gift of donor's body or body part; purpose; persons making gift.","body":"Sec. 10104.\n\nSubject to section 10108, an anatomical gift of a donor's body or body part may be made during the life of the donor for the purpose of transplantation, therapy, research, or education in the manner provided in section 10105 by any of the following:\n\n(a) The donor, if the donor is an adult or if the donor is a minor and meets 1 or more of the following requirements:\n\n( i ) Is emancipated.\n\n( ii ) Has been issued a driver license or identification card because the donor is at least 16 years of age.\n\n(b) An agent of the donor, unless the power of attorney for health care or other record prohibits the agent from making an anatomical gift.\n\n(c) A parent of the donor, if the donor is an unemancipated minor.\n\n(d) The donor's guardian.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-10104","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"65581d534b8252e8075062de4a559ec6abce27268ef8a23ed7416e5a34656d24","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.10103","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.10105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
